BOUNTY HUNT by Jon Sharpe
Bounty Hunt - Jon Sharpe

Skye Fargo receives a letter asking for him to track down Glenda Hemmings' husband who left her and their children. Skye is tracked down by members of Cord Blasingame's gang (he is Glenda's husband.) Glenda tells Skye one thing but he is hearing the opposite from those who know Cord. Skye's not sure who to believe until Cord lets his personae drop. Then Skye does what he does best.

I enjoyed this story. It's a quick comfort read for me. Skye is Skye and too many are trying to kill him. Fortunately Skye can take care of himself. He tries to protect others but they don't listen or he's too late to save them. I liked that Skye was able to end the outlaw's reign of terror.

I always look forward to coming back to Skye and his adventures.

BLACK HILLS DEATHBLOW by Jon Sharpe
The Trailsman #395: Black Hills Deathblow - Jon Sharpe

Fargo's been asked to stop the men who are giving the Sioux alcohol and guns to start a war between the whites and the Sioux and other tribes. He also has to work with Logan Brennan, a notorious gun sharp, who plans to kill his brother, the purveyor of guns and alcohol to the Sioux. Fargo only wants to complete his mission but on the way he has to rescue a few people and deal with those who want to kill him.

This is a comfort read for me. I know Fargo will get his man, bed a few women, get shot at, but survive it all. I liked the action as well as the Cherokee who helped him once or twice. I liked that Logan's story does come out and Fargo has a change of heart about him. It's a good shoot-'em-up read--perfect for a snowy night.

The Prince Who Loved Me (Just Add Peaches #3) by Abigail Sharpe
The Prince Who Loved Me (Just Add Peaches #3) - Abigail Sharpe

The Prince Who Loved Me by Abigail Sharpe

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sharpe brings the childhood fantasy to life in the most adult of ways. Brandi and Sebastien are a fairytale in progress hoping to find a happy ending. Their quest is as emotional as it is funny, but what a ride it is. The Prince who Loved Me has heart. What more can any romantic ask for?

Audiobook Review for Sex, Lies, and Headlines
Sex, Lies, and Headlines - Peter Styles

Simon had one night with the man of his dreams.  Knowing he will never see him again, he tried the number given only to find it fake.  Jokes on both of us, what we felt was real.

Luke has thought of nothing else in the six years since he had Simon all to himself.  He is saddened by the fact Simon never called him.  Living a life in the public eye, he feels lonely and that he can never trust anyone completely.

This story was very gripping.  A tale of two souls who should have been together and lost so much time.  I was seriously caught right away and had to know the end.  Lucky for me, the story was no too long to listen to and was a real challenge for each character.

The narration was done well and the obvious inflections helped to know the person changes.  The tonal quality overall was good and it ended well for me.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

So Many Books, So Little Time... Early October 2018 Edition

I think I need an intervention.

I love books & reading- always have.  Reviewing is a bonus and the advent of ebooks was a mixed blessing.  As of this moment I have about 30gb of ebooks sitting on an external drive...

Not a typo: 30 Gigabytes. And I'm always acquiring more.

Between purchases, giveaways, ARCs, freebies, NetGalley, Kindle listings & promos I've got a TBR pile that would make Sisyphus shake his head and wonder what the fuck was wrong with me.  It's only Wednesday and check out what this week's haul already looks like:

37792766

38136877

33898873

Oh, and did I mention I'm getting ready for NaNoWriMo?

...send help... or at least a shitload of coffee.
