Book Review for Devious Savior (Vicious Vipers MC Book 6) Lynn Burke
Devious Savior (Vicious Vipers MC Book 6) - Lynn Burke

What an enjoyable story this was after the whopping ending with Virgil's story and with his brother's continued attempts to self-sabotage and continuing down the rabbit  hole we were more intrigued than ever what his story was.

The answers to Ricky's past are revealed and he finally comes face to face with his demons that have been haunting him for over 20 years and with a little help from a blonde tiny dancer he even may overcome them once and for all.

I have to say that I really enjoyed Ricky's character because I found him to be real, vulnerable, protective, heartsick, guilt stiffened while having a lot of insecurities all probably stemming from his life choices and past deeds but, not so gone that he wasn't the type of man who wouldn't be redeemable.

I loved Casey from the moment that women graced the pages because that woman was a spitfire also sexy, independent, bold, beautiful, forward, and not the kind of woman to give up what she wants. Casey had me smiling and laughing out loud at her antics and forwardness and she kept that  smile plastered to my face the entire book. Casey may have been all those things but, like all women, she had her own insecurities which made her even more of a love-able character.

Lust and love, at first sight, we're pretty much what drew Ricky and Casey together in the first place baring her amazing resemblance to Ricky's past lover who haunts his dreams but, in the reality, they are complete opposite's. The chemistry and pull between the two was scorching hot  and sexy but, as always the road to getting want you to want is never an easy one and for this couple will love to be able to conquer all and lay those demons to rest once and for all?

We loved the story from beginning to end and we loved that it was heartfelt and emotional and complicated and had awesome characters that felt real so much so you felt their pain and suffering. A touching story about addiction, and healing, love, and forgiveness all wrapped up in one but, along that path and through all that chaos it leads you to the one woman destined to be your soulmate. A tale that kept you glued to the pages the entire time.

Book Review for Brinks by Winter Travers
Brinks (Fallen Lords MC Book 9) Kindle Edition - Winter Travers

This was enjoyable read to end things out in this series !The story although a serious one made you laugh and giggle as well and those old ladies of this chapter really know how to make us laugh out loud throughout a story.

We loved that this was a joint effort to take out the enemy and rescue Cora in the process and the author even gave us a whopping surprise we never saw coming.

The character's were great and the story just flowed which had some action and suspense and adventure and some major retribution. It's hard not to love the Fallen Lord men and their ladies as they make it so damn easy to do so.

Overall it was a sweet read for us with a perfect ending. This series and all the books included in it left us with so many memorable character's and although we have some top favorites like Wrecker and Pipe they were all great and entertaining and each picked and old lady that was perfect for him and Alice she is just one of those old ladies that will never be forgotten for sure.

Savior (415 Ink, #2) by Rhys Ford 4 Star Review!!
Savior (415 Ink #2) - Rhys Ford

A savior lies in the heart of every good man, but sometimes only love can awaken the man inside the savior.

The world’s had it out for San Francisco firefighter Mace Crawford from the moment he was born. Rescued from a horrific home life and dragged through an uncaring foster system, he’s dedicated his life to saving people, including the men he calls his brothers. As second-in-command of their knitted-together clan, Mace guides his younger siblings, helps out at 415 Ink, the family tattoo shop, and most of all, makes sure the brothers don’t discover his darkest secrets.

It’s a lonely life with one big problem—he’s sworn off love, and Rob Claussen, one of 415 Ink’s tattoo artists, has gotten under his skin in the worst way possible.

Mace’s world is too tight, too controlled to let Rob into his life, much less his heart, but the brash Filipino inker is there every time Mace turns around. He can’t let Rob in without shaking the foundations of the life he’s built, but when an evil from his past resurfaces, Mace is forced to choose between protecting his lies and saving the man he’s too scared to love.

Review

Mace and Rob are on fire together. We have a bit of that hate love going on and the forbidden as well as Mace part owns the tattoo shop where Rob works.

Mace's backstory like all of his foster brother. There is a great deal of outside drama in this book as Mace's past comes back and all the darkness he has tried to hide leaks out but that is all for the good as Mace gets a chance to heal.

The brothers are wonderful as they were in the first book and I would recommend reading this series in order.

I like Rob a great deal and love that he comes with his own support system. Ford really builds a world here and I like coming to hang out with this crew.

Savior (Black Dagger Brotherhood #17) by J.R.Ward
The Savior (Black Dagger Brotherhood #17) - J.R. Ward

The Savior by J.R. Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Savior progressed slowly following Dr. Sarah Watkins, a biomedical research scientist. However, when it came to the ex-brother Murhder, I could not get enough! I couldn't put the book down. His name screams Old World when names were stereotypical of the warrior, like Wrath, Tohrment, Vicious, Rhage, you get the point. Murhder loses his mind after being tortured in a Symphath colony and is no longer accepted as a member of the Brotherhood. It is a long story but Xhex used to be his lover. He is the only one who has ever been kicked out of the Black Dagger Brotherhood too. We learn later that he was misunderstood and judged unfairly. He spent 20 years in isolation because of it. From reading the book I didn't get the impression he was crazy either. I did sense the other brothers' anger towards him which I didn't think was right. They weren't being very nice to him especially Tohr and V. The only one who believed Murhder should come back and fight as a brother again was John Matthew who Murhder incidentally thought was Darius. I guess they always had a good relationship. I am so happy about how everything turned out for these two. Back to the story... Murhder is on a mission to save a female vampire and find and return her son who was taken away from her. Meanwhile, her son Natelum is being tested in a human lab and is on the verge of his transition into an adult vampire. He will die if he doesn't get the proper treatment from a chosen. Dr. Sarah Watkins is appauled over the secrets and torture treatments being done in the biomedical firm. After her fiancee dies unexpectedly, she sneaks into the facility and plans to take the young boy away from there. She is the first to rescue him before Murhder John and Xhex unexpectedly arrive to save the day. Sarah just gets swept away down a rabbit hole. When one thing leads to another, doing the right thing means that Murhder has to wipe Sarah's memories of everything she knows about the Vampire world, even if it means losing her. As an independent male and free from the rules of the BDB, he asserts himself on occasion but I am still not convinced he is crazy cause he doesn't act it. He seems like he has his shit together when it comes to Sarah Watkins. I guess she brings out the good in him *shrugs Her accepting attitude of the existence of vampires make her job easier and she quickly assumes her role as doctor and works with Manny. Ehlena and Dr. Jane to help them find a cure for a blood anomaly. When John Matthew is bitten by a dark shadow thing, her research prompts her to test out a new theory that might help save him from dying. Murhder volunteers to try it first. It works! Nate has successfully transitioned but his role is not defined fully so he is swept under the rug until further notice :p I am extremely satisfied for reading about my favourite vampires in The Savior.
