Challenged
Hot Pursuit (Black Knights Inc.) - Julie Ann Walker

This is book #11, in the Black Knights, Inc. series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment & understanding of the series itself, I recommend reading these in order.

Emily & Christian are at one another's throats on more than one occasion.  It is becoming the norm.  The chemistry between them is boiling and wanting to explode.

Christian knows he is hot for his co-worker.  He tries very hard to deny it to himself, as well as others.  When they have to work together to get home from across the pond, it may be more than the team can take.

Such a sexy and sizzling story.  I love the banter and the heat between the main MC's.  There are more favorites from the series inside this book as well.  Add in another suspenseful plot - and it is a super read.  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Open heart
Wild Ride - Julie Ann Walker

This is book #9, in the heart stopping Black Knights Inc. series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order.

Ethan AKA "Ozzie" has been talking to a reporter.  Shocker.  With his good looks and brilliant mind, he could make literally any woman fall at his feet.  So why this reporter?  He is not entirely sure either.  He only knows he likes that her mind works at full speed, and her look are not a turn off either.

Samantha knows there is more going on at BKI, and she is determined to find out.  She does not expect to feel the warmth of Ozzie's protection, or that it would make her want more.  Will their friendship be over when he finds out she is on a story?

This long awaited book was worth every page.  I eagerly read this story and could not put the book down.  It was just a great read from the heart-pounding start to finish!  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

It’s Bridget Jones with vampires in this fresh and funny paranormal romance from debut author Juliet Lyons

When Silver Harris kisses sexy Irish vampire Logan Byrne on New Year's Eve, she knows other humans just won't suffice. Convinced she'll never see him again, she joins the uber-popular vampire dating site, V-Date.com.

What Silver doesn't know is that the site is more dangerous than she could ever imagined, and soon she's in over her head. When Logan returns, sparks fly and attraction sizzles, but they'll have to escape some very real demons if they have any chance of lasting forever.

Dating The Undead was a little less what I expected but had some things I totally wasn't expecting yet still managed to keep my attention despite some areas where the story hit a couple snags and lingered too long in some places I felt could have done without the added plot and useless character interactions.

That being said, I did like that the characters mostly carried the story - I do like heavy character plot than actual story plot sometimes since I tend to have a habit of getting deeply invested in the who is who, how, and why they are the way they are, their backgrounds and histories and all the little tid bits that tend to get left in the wind in a lot of books.

Dating the Undead includes a lot of past history but sadly not really in the way I was hoping. As a whole Dating the Undead didn't quite feel totally fleshed out or expanded in areas I felt could have used a little extra attention and a little long in areas I felt could have been done without all together however I still liked our h/h, I liked their journey together even with the whole little too heavy too obsessed too soon. I let that go so I could sit back and enjoy the ride without paying much attention to the road signs on the trip.

Dating the Undead was still very much worth the read as long as I didn't look too deep and the humor was very much liked. Also the ending hook grabbed me enough that I do plan on picking up the next book in this series.

Save me
Fighting Attraction - Sarah Castille

This is book #4, in the Redemption series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding and enjoyment, I recommend reading this great series in order.

Jack AKA Rampage is the hottest fighter Penny can see.  She sees quote a lot, actually.  She sees the real him, the one behind the man everyone thinks he is.  She is his greatest friend, and yet she can also be his greatest weakness.

Penny is not sure what to say or do.  When it comes to Rampage, she is seriously attracted.  She also gets seriously angry.  He knows her secret, but can she trust him with her past?  The attraction between them is getting so strong, it may cause the spark to ignite.

This story just starts off with such electricity!  You feel the powerful pull between the main characters right from the beginning.  I loved the humor, the heat, and the banter.  This was a great addition to the Redemption series.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

My turn
Trouble Walks In (The McGuire Brothers) - Sara Humphreys

This is book #2, in The McGuire Brothers series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding and enjoyment, I recommend reading this series in order.

Ronan has been in love with Maddy since they were in school.  Growing up in the same small town, he came to appreciate her quirky ways.  She was busy with someone else, so he had to bide his time until it was right to ask her out.

Maddy has had a lot happen to her in the last year alone.  She lost someone she loved.  She knows she must get on with her life, but it is hard to motivate yourself into action.  Ronan changes all of that by just looking at her.

This story was so sexy!  I loved the characters connection right from the beginning.  Good installment for the McGuire Brothers series.  The pace was good.  Seeing characters from the previous story was nice also.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
