Omg ! What a great story.I am really loving this series and Esther and Raff 's/Wolfe's story was so heartfelt and totally heart wrenching I wanted to cry time and time again and my heart actually hurt for all the hurt and pain that both Raff and Esther had to endure. This is the type of book that pushes your limits and it is a story that takes you totally out of your comfort zone.

This story had so much going on that I was glued to the pages the entire time from beginning to end.The story was filled with so much sex, drama, suspense, and surprises and so much more.We loved it! I have to say that this story kept me on edge the entire time. The story is not for the faint of heart that is for sure and it is very dark and graphic and may have triggers for others.

I honestly have to say that after reading this story I was left reeling and my emotions were all over the place and I had to remind myself that this was a book of fiction because I just could not understand how Esther could be with a man like Raff/Wolfe that would cause you to spiral so out of control to the point that you feel like you have no self worth left and that you feel your only choice left to you is to become a whore to a club full of men and that the man who claims to love you would even allow that to happen in the first place! WTH!

I realized that Esther past played a big part in the way she is and the decisions she makes and Raff/Wolfe just happens to be her drug of choice and that she just can let go of but, that women was on a path of self destruction and in reality so was Wolfe.

Esther for me was a puzzle as I could not understand how she could be a teacher and outside of work be someone totally different. The women was broken and in pain and she totally lost her mind when it came to loving Wolfe and the lengths she was willing to go to keep him and what she was willing to endure to keep him to the point it would even cause her more pain.

Wolfe is a character that you want to hate but just can't because underneath all that pain and suffering and the demons he carries around him deep down he was a man capable of loving with one's whole heart if only he would put his demons to rest.Time and time again I wanted to kick his butt for the pain he caused Esther and the things he said to her and the way he treated her because all along it was obvious to all how much he did love her.Let's just say I was thinking out loud some really bad curse words to call him more that a few times throughout the story. lol

Esther and Raff are just super hot together! The sexual content was highly erotic and just kept getting hotter and hotter and this couple were definitely making up for lost time.Holy friggin Fanning ! And Mamba being involved made things even more intense and even hotter even if it was only for a brief time!

All and All in the end these two were made for each other who accepted each others faults and all the broken pieces that made them who they had become and maybe just maybe it takes two lost souls to heal one another.Perhaps love and acceptance will do the trick.

I loved the story from beginning to end .I loved how determined Raff was to get back the women he loves. The story was about healing ,love and betrayals and exacting vengeance and was full with tons of drama and suspense but, how one faithful night put things in perspective for both characters making them realize that they finally had to lay their demons to rest in order to have a future whether it together or apart. I loved this cast of characters and I have to say Mamba became one of my favorite characters. All these thing made it an engaging story as well as an amazing read for us that kept us on edge the entire time.

Haley is one of my favorite story tellers and for me and has become a author on my auto buy list as she never disappoints. One of the other things I just love about her is she takes the time to interact with her fans as much as she can which makes me just love her more as she is just and awesome storyteller.

Another amazing tale from cover to cover!

Recommend to read  to all who like very dark and edgy romances !

Life is simply life. It's unfair and sometimes cruel.

I should know.

Since the moment I first drew breath, I was an orphan. Unwanted. Unloved. The small blonde girl everyone picked on.

My story isn't one of happiness, if that's what you're thinking.

The person I love most in the world is gone. And in the darkness I've been reborn, into a person I don't recognize.

Her name’s Rosie. In the beginning, when our love first began, that name meant something different. That’s when the light won, always overcoming the dark. Where hope and happiness flourished.

Now it means…. death for those who harm.

I love this new me as much as anyone without a soul can love something.

Life is simply life… and with it comes vengeance.

Warning: Contains adult content, graphic violence, and dark emotional scenarios that may trigger some readers. Proceed with caution. You have been warned.
First book of the Wrecked Duet.- which can be read as a standalone set.
For the best reading experience, read Books #1-#3 of Sacred Sinners- Texas Chapter series to avoid spoilers.

Let's off by saying that if you follow my reviews you know we always are looking forward to a new release from Bink and we have been anticipating this newest release for sometime and we were looking forward to Rosie's story and as usual Bink didn't disappoint us! We new Rosie was going to be one of those complicated characters from the first time we were introduced to her and we weren't wrong as her life was filled with one tragic event after another.

We really enjoyed the story from cover to cover and everything in between. From the onset of the story we were hooked. The story was engrossing, full of tons of drama, full of heartache and more then a few surprises we didn't see coming.

Rosie was one of those characters that at one point in her life was a totally different person from the person that we see today and we were honestly taken back a bit that at one time she was sweet and innocent even though we life was far from perfect but, one thing we know for sure that the old Rosie is still in there somewhere just buried really really deep within her and its going to take one strong dominating cocky man who challenges her at every turn to bring back the old Rosie back to bring her back into the living once again.

We loved Rosie and found her to be unbelievability brave, strong, determined, a savior to many, broken also smart and cunning and when she loves she loves with her whole heart. We loved the life sacrifices she was willing to make in order to be a savior for others and whether see realized it or not she does have a huge heart after all.

We really loved being on Rosie's journey as it was one heart wrenching read for us that effected all of our emotions and it was a tragic tale full off suffering tragedy loss and so much pain thats crippling but, we loved seeing Rosie rise above all that and see the survivor she truly is.We loved the broken women and the only thing we wanted to do is hug her tightly and take all her pain away.We also loved that fact whether see realizes or not she is slowing letting people back into her life even if its in tiny baby steps Big and his Sinners are definitely getting under skin whether good or bad.

For me the series Sacred Sinners - Texas Chapter is a must read for all MC Romance lover as the entire series is filled with tons of drama, wonderful character's and is definitely heart wrenching and totally awesome !

Tissues Need & and Kicka** heroine!
My kind of read !

Recommended read to all!

Game Slaves by Gard Skinner
Game Slaves - Gard Skinner

My copy of this is an ARC that I picked up at a conference four years ago. Yes, it took me this long to finally read it. Because it's an ARC, I won't be quoting from it.

Phoenix and his team spend their work days fighting battle after battle. Each time they die, they're regenerated. That's because they aren't people - they're the NPC enemies that human gamers try to defeat. The only difference between one day and the next is what game they're in. When Dakota, a new member, is added to Phoenix's team, things gradually start to fall apart.

Dakota won't stop asking questions. She has what she thinks are memories of a life prior to being in the game. Doesn't that mean she, and all of them, are really human? Doesn't that mean there's a life she could get back to? Phoenix tries to ignore her and concentrate on being the biggest, baddest opponent gamers have ever fought against, but then things start happening that even he can't explain away.

I went into this thinking it'd work reasonably well for me. I like "stuck in a video game" stories, and this seemed somewhat in the same vein. Unfortunately, I disliked Phoenix, who I assume was written to primarily appeal to male gamers. His idea of a good life was battles, good weapons, and Mi, his only female teammate prior to Dakota's arrival, tucked under his arm when she wasn't pulling off an impressive number of headshots. Although Dakota annoyed him, he gave her living quarters closer to his because he thought she was hot...which was weird since he acknowledged that all women in his game world were hot.

I spent a good chunk of the book thinking Dakota would have made a better POV character, but I doubt that would have made me like this book any better. She annoyed me almost as much as she annoyed Phoenix. But at least she was less passive than Phoenix, who was aware that things were going on around him that he knew nothing about but who did nothing to learn more about those things.

For a book that contained cannibals and a Mad Max-style dystopian wasteland, this was surprisingly boring. The pacing was really bad, and none of the characters felt like actual people. Part of the latter could have been due to Phoenix's POV. Mi, for example, came across as his token girlfriend. Why were the two of them together? She seemed more inclined to question things than him, and there were hints that she had thoughts and emotions he hadn't even tried to find out about. And yet the two of them stayed together. The only explanation I could think of was that Phoenix was team leader, and as team leader he was required to have a girlfriend. Which was...depressing.

The book's ending was garbage, a last-ditch effort to mess with readers. The result was hugely unsatisfying. Phoenix's shock and horror didn't exactly do much for my opinion of his intelligence, either. The ending he'd been about to have was filled with great big gaping plot holes (not to mention a stunning display of selfishness and wastefulness, but that's a whole other issue). It shouldn't have required dragging him over and rubbing his nose in them for him to see them.

Extras:

I don't know if these made it into the final book, but the ARC came with a few illustrations and stats for Phoenix and his teammates.

Game Slaves - Gard Skinner

I'm done! For the first time in two or three weeks, I've finished something that isn't an audiobook. Yeah!

Too bad it sucked. The bulk of this was boring, and the ending was garbage. I'm even worse at writing reviews right now than I am at reading and finishing books, but if I get one written and it has a rating attached to it, it's probably going to be 1 star.

There are cannibals and a Mad Max-style dystopian wasteland. And somehow this is still deadly boring.
