Risking it all.

Miriam is forty and frustrated. In an attempt to enhance her living-just-to-breathe life she joins some neighbours protesting a highway bypass that will destroy Eagleridge Bluffs. Not only are the Bluffs her special sanctuary, but they’re also the beautiful home of rare and endangered plants and animals.

The protest gains the support of environmental organizations including the attention of a group of eco-radicals lead by an enigmatic young man named Zaahir.

Miriam is mesmerized by this charismatic leader and sees him as someone that can save her as well as the Bluffs. But is Zaahir just using Miriam to help him further his radical political agenda?

As legal channels fail and civil disobedience falters, Miriam is seduced into the murky world of eco-terrorism.

"... a thrilling read, full of action and romance with a few twists thrown in for good measure."

FIVE STARS - Readers' Favorite Book Reviews

"I loved this book! It had everything from romance to action, and it also addressed some important environmental issues which I have great interest in. I look forward to reading the other books in the Eco-Warriors series.

"Rod Raglin crafts a wonderful, thrilling tale with Eagleridge Bluffs (Loving the Terrorist). His unique author's voice shines through in this lovely novel, with the characters of Zahir and Miriam springing to life from its pages."
- FIVE STARS - L. Newman, Goodreads review

"This is a short but fulfilling read. The author has a unique voice and a great ability to tell a story. You are captured from the first page to the last and want more when it's over."
- FOUR STARS - Melissa, Goodreads review

Timely topic presented through believable circumstance - FIVE STARS
Raglin is a master at breathing life into his characters. Every individual is meticulously developed, each with their own flaws and merits. Relatable interactions are seamlessly woven together in this heart-rending glimpse into how human greed and our relentless push for immediate gratification can destroy irreplaceable natural beauty and crucial environmental diversity. And how believing in a dream can end in joy.

STOLEN SUMMER by Anne Mather
Stolen Summer (Harlequin Presents, No 843) - Anne Mather

Ben has been in love with Shelly since he was a teenager. Though she is older than him, his feelings have not changed when he meets her as a man. Shelly, not knowing who he is at first, is powerfully attracted to him. When she learns who he is, she feels their relationship is inappropriate and tries to drive a wedge between them. Will it work?

This is very dated. The age gap is only six years and her friendship with his mother has nothing to do with what is between them. His fiancée is a horror and I knew she would not last. Others try to do damage to Shelly but she manages to free herself from all of that. I liked the kindly listening ear of the village doctor who helps her straighten herself out. Ben is aggressive. When he doesn't get his way, look out.

While I have always liked Anne Mather's books, this is not a keeper.

On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves
On the Island - Tracey Garvis-Graves

At first, it was rather shocking. I listened to my friend's praise and borrowed it from the library without reading the back cover. Somehow I thought T.J. was older, but he was only sixteen, so I almost stopped reading. Now I'm glad I didn't because it was a beautiful story - beautiful, horrible and so exciting.
Because T.J. seemed more mature, the love story began years later, and it wasn't "typical" teacher student romance (they were more like friends), I was able to read and even enjoy the story. Author took a very sensitive theme and turned it into an interesting but realistic story. The main characters had a lot of challenges on the island (mother nature is wonderful but scary as hell) but I liked that they also had to face difficulties after returning to civilization. Anna and T.J. had to make an effort to have a relationship and get used to the "real" world. Great book.

Book Review for Robby by Jen Davis
Robby (Cooper Construction #3) - Jen Davis

We are really loving this series and characters. We loved Robby and Matt's story as there path was not and easy road due to Matt exploring his sexuality and Robby's past and a whole lot of baby mama drama."We loved it all !"

I loved Robby already from the other stories already but, I loved him even more this time around he was such a love-able soul . Our heart broke for what he had to endure to get through his teens just to survive and the hard choices he had to make but, he rose up from the ashes and made something of himself and created a family full of misfits.I loved how Robby did not let his new life be tainted by the old one and how he remained sweet and kind and not bitter and someone who wallowed in self pity. Robby was my favorite character this round but, I still have a soft spot for Brick .lol

We enjoyed getting to know Matt while he was figuring himself out and how he never put a label on his sexuality just went with the flow and what felt good a right for him.

We loved of course seeing our favorite characters again and seeing them celebrating their new lives with each other and their good fortunes. We love you guys!

Overall the story kept us engrossed and turning the pages. This was one heart felt dark tale but, through Robby and his darkest times and dark days he survived and now he is making a difference to those in need. With your new life and your support and knowledge and your good graces you are making this happen hoping to create a better world. The story also just had enough suspense to spice things up and we loved it and we hope there is more to come in this series.

Recommend read to all and its series!

Book Review for Snatched by K Sterling
Snatched (Throttled #2) - K. Sterling

Let's start off by saying this is a brand new author for us and we absolutely loved our first story by them.I loved everything about this story and it's character's.

This story was filled with love, humor and intrigue, murder, crime syndicate drama, betrayals, brotherly love and a forbidden love story and we loved every bit of it.

We loved Dilan and Roan from the onset of the story as they started things off with a bang and had us enmeshed in the story right from the very beginning to the very end.Roan and Dilan are tied up in the crimesyndicate life and its never a dull moment for them and the only thing they both crave is a life less crazy and they want to make it happen.

Jake Tyler is a cop and a medical examiner who lands right into the middle of the O 'Shea's shit storm and an unlikely friendship forms between the two men but, Jake is drawn to the charismatic bad boy with those smoldering dark looks and bada** tattoo's and has no business lusting for the bad boy when he is a cop and Dilan is a gangster.

Dilan was one of those character's that you can't help but love with his sexy bod who's loaded with tattoo's and has a bada** aura but, we also felt his sadness and and all that weight that he constantly carried around on his shoulders but, we saw a spring in his step any time he was around the sexy Jake Tyler !

Dilan and Jake can't seemed to be able to fight the chemistry between them but, when they give into their desires things get more complicated and even more dangerous but, they are having a whole lot of fun.We loved Dilan and Jake when they were together as they were super hot together some who say smoldering ! We loved seeing them fall in love and lengths that both of them were willing to go to to keep this new relationship and the love that they had for one another alive if only Dilan out smarts and out whits the demons that follow him around.

A couple of our favorite quotes

Jake -

You’re like Robin Hood, the Candy Man and Judge Dredd! Awesome,” he said extremely sarcastically and Dilan waved dismissively."

“You don’t want to know,” he promised. It would have been a tiny McDonald’s sign, just above Roan’s pubes, and proudly declared “Over 1 Million Served”.

Overall the story was amazing and we loved it.It was fun and full of danger and intrigue, betrayals, surprises ,murder and forbidden love and drama and more than a few twists and turns and was all about second chances. The story kept you glued to that pages the entire time just to see what was going to happen next.I have to say that we laughed and cried and we were rooting for happy endings for all parties involved.

A refreshing series that we absolutely fell in love with!
