Life is not going well for archaeologist Sam Bellamy. She's stuck in the middle of the ocean on a salvage boat with people who want her dead. It wasn't her gift for being able to sense objects of power that got her here, rather her need to make a secret society called the Knights of the Dragon pay for killing her mentor. Sam doesn't believe in dragons, but the Knights do, and if she can get one of the sacred artifacts they're searching for away from them, she'll consider it payback.

Ezra Easton is content to run his marine salvage company and live alone on his private island. He may be a four-thousand-year-old water drakon, but he's civilized enough to know just because he pulls an injured woman from the ocean, doesn't mean he gets to keep her...

When she wakes up, she has a few tall tales to share, and it seems the Knights are after her. But this drakon won't give up his treasure.

Drakon’s Plunder is book three in the Blood of the Drakon series by N.J. Walters.

I’ve been enjoy this series. I like the drakons, half man, half dragon, who are solitary except for the occasional interactions they have between the four brothers. Once they meet their mate; their love is unrestrained, their passion is explosive, and they are unmatched in their protectiveness.

Ezra I’ve wanted to meet him since the moment he was introduced. He’s a water darken and needs the sea. The man is a recluse, owns his on island, and a salvage company on the main land.

Sam’s an archaeologist and she has a specially gift for finding artifacts seeped in magic or myth. She took a job with the Knights, so she could get revenge for them killing her friend.

Danger is every present throughout the story. We also get a little deeper into the workings of the Knights and their goals. Sam & Ezra’s relationship is fast. Their chemistry is fierce and fiery from the moment they meet. I liked these two together, but I was a little sad with how quickly their relationship went. I wanted a little more, push and pull, not a total in all at once. The other area of disappointment for me was in them sleeping together after only knowing each other for 6 hrs. With this being an insta-love story, you know that everything is going to be quick.

Drakon’s Plunder was a satisfactory read. It didn’t blow my mind, but I still enjoyed it. I’m curious about the fourth brother Nic and I’m looking forward to his story. This story can be read as a stand-a-lone, but the books are best read in order.

Nothing is forbidden to this elite corps of shifter bodyguards and private investigators…except falling in love.

Good dragons? Bad dragons? Twenty-four hours ago, private chef Tessa Byrne didn’t know about the terrifying world of shifters. Now she knows too much, like the fact that a ruthless dragon lord is determined to claim her — forever. Tessa flees to Maui, where sunny skies, swaying palms, and a handsome stranger conspire to play tricks with her heart. Can she truly trust Kai Llewellyn and his band of battle-hardened shapeshifters to save her from a gruesome fate?

Don’t trust a human, and never, ever fall in love with one. Those are lessons Kai learned the hard way. But Tessa is different. Her emerald eyes mirror the mysterious pendant she wears, and her flaming red hair makes his heart race. Is his inner dragon just greedy for a new kind of treasure, or is Tessa his destined mate?

A paranormal romance with adult content / 50,000 words.

Lure of the Dragon is a wonderful start to a new series by Anna Lowe. It’s full of suspense, mystery, and romance.

Lure of the Dragon shows us that everyone has secrets and that not ever supernatural is good. The story was a little slow to start and it took me sometime to get into, but once I did, I enjoyed it.

We are introduced to a band of brothers, men who severed in a special military unit together. These men have been through a lot and have formed a family. I feel in love with the shifter brothers that were introduced. Each one is unique, has their own personalities, and pasts. I’m curious to learn about each one and see who their mates will be.

I loved how the author brought all her characters together and that we are still in the same world with ties to Twin Moon. The plot has a few twists and surprises.

I do have to point out that the first kiss between Tessa and Kai, Holy Smokes it’s smoking.

It was great to get our first taste of dragons, good and bad, fated mates and lost treasures. I’m curious to see where this new series goes and how it all unfolds.

My Wild Irish Dragon was a delightful read.

Chloe and Ryan both want the same job at the safe fire station, but only one position is open. This leads to the two competing for the position. But, the chief finds funding to hire both since both are so well qualified. You think they would stop their competition now that both got the job, but their rivalry continues. Soon they learn to respect the other, become friends, and fall for one another. The banter and humor was enjoyable between these two. Their relationship felt honest and deep as it developed throughout the story.

I also enjoyed several side characters and family members. I didn’t care so much for Chloe’s cousin Aiden and his storyline. I was a bit shocked that when he did something completely against Mother Nature’s rules their was no repercussions at all.

The only thing that still gets to me and this bothered me in the first book too. Why can’t the shifters or supernaturals smell that someone is a shifter or a supernatural? They can use other aspects of their abilities when in human form. So, why can’t they use this one? This would clear things up and help.

I had a pleasant time with My Wild Irish Dragon. I liked that two noble paranormals where trying to make a difference in their community. I also enjoyed the humor that was brought into the storyline.

Valeriya Azarov turned her back on the family business to write and illustrate children’s books. But with a sister who leads the Knights of the Dragon, it’s impossible to get away from the secret society whose mission is to destroy and enslave dragons. When information falls into her hands along with the opportunity to save at least one of the ancient creatures, she can’t turn away any longer.

When a woman moves into the cabin above Tarrant Cooper’s secret underground lair, he’s both suspicious and intrigued. He hasn’t lasted four thousand years being careless, so when he suspects her of being a part of the Knights, the plan is to kidnap her and find out how much the organization knows about him and his brothers.

He’s drawn to Valeriya, but trusting her could get him killed. Even if she’s a pawn in the war between drakons and Knights, giving her his heart would mean forever.

I LOVE dragons and can’t get enough. This was a fantastic addition to the series.

Drakon’s Prey has plenty of danger, suspense, and smoking hot romance plus sexy dragon brothers. I loved Tarrant! He was just so amazing and sweet. Valeriya I adored her. She had a horrible childhood, but she found away to distance herself from the family business. I loved that she is an artist and an author. Such a sweet heart, but still strong and loyal. The chemistry between Valeriya and Tarrant was hot and steamy. I loved watching them fall for each other.

As for the Knights, they won’t give up, but neither will the Drakons. War is inevitable and the Knights won’t see them coming.

I’m in love and can’t wait for the next installment. If you are a fan of dragons, then I highly recommend this series.

Strange as it was, she trusted Tarrant more than she’d ever trusted anyone in her life. Common sense told her everything was mostly likely a ruse and he was most likely working for her sister or another of the Knights. But her intuition was saying just the opposite.

“Just what I said.” Tarrant sprawled on the other leather sectional and spread his arms across the back, taking up most of it with his big body. He might be living underground, but there was nothing basement-like about this place. It was gorgeous.

“I can’t let you go. Your sister or one of the Knights would grab you in a heartbeat.”

“So you took me in order to protect me?” She slowly released the grip on her legs and slid them back down.

He shook his head. “Wish I could say that was totally true, but I can’t. That’s a side benefit. I took you in case you were working with the Knights and had information. If you didn’t have information, I thought you might be valuable.”

Wow, that was brutally honest and painful to hear. “I see.”

Tarrant huffed out a breath and sat forward, resting his forearms on his legs. “No. No, you don’t see at all. You’re dangerous to me. I should take you back and let the Knights deal with you.”

Her stomach dropped and she thought she might be ill. She hadn’t realized how safe she felt here with Tarrant until he threatened to take it away. She swallowed before she could speak . “And will you? Take me back?”

“Never.” The single word dropped between them like an anvil.

She licked her dry lips. “Never is a long time.”

One corner of his mouth kicked up. “Time is something I have plenty of.”

Drakon’s Promise is book one in the Blood of the Drakon series by N.J. Walters. This brand new series brings together a unique set of characters, suspense, mystery, and romance.

It’s a great start with lots of interesting plot twists, turns, and action. We get a good amount of world building and explaining on who The Knights of the Dragon. I liked the setup and premise of the story. The plot was thrilling and full of mystery. We are kept on our toes.

Sarah captivated me from the start. I really liked her. She’s brave and honorable while wanting to stand on her own two feet. I also liked that she’s a librarian with a unique skill set. Darius is sexy, charming, and a gentlemen. He is also a drakon.

Though Sarah and Darius have feelings for each other they aren’t “insta” and they both go through some concerns as to why they are attracted to each other. These two go on a wild ride and through it their connection and chemistry grow as does the danger. As for their romance I didn’t fully feel the connection between them, but they were still enjoyable characters to read about.

The only two issues with me and they are minor detail oriented. Sarah mentions coffee a lot and drinks way too much coffee. Their was such a big emphasis on coffee. Don’t they drink other hot beverages, like tea and cocoa. And, the second thing was Sarah sits down to do some research and put feelers out, but Sarah never got back online to see if anyone had replayed. The characters in this scene just move onto the brothers idea. Why put this in the story if you aren’t going to explore it? It felt like filler material.

Drakon’s Promise had a lot to savor. I liked the idea of the Drakons and the Knights. I liked the world building and characters introduced. I very much enjoyed learning a little about Darius brothers and look forward to each of their stories. We get an intriguing set up for the next installment in the Blood of the Drakon series that really has my interest peaked.
