Book Review for Brinks by Winter Travers
Brinks (Fallen Lords MC Book 9) Kindle Edition - Winter Travers

This was enjoyable read to end things out in this series !The story although a serious one made you laugh and giggle as well and those old ladies of this chapter really know how to make us laugh out loud throughout a story.

We loved that this was a joint effort to take out the enemy and rescue Cora in the process and the author even gave us a whopping surprise we never saw coming.

The character's were great and the story just flowed which had some action and suspense and adventure and some major retribution. It's hard not to love the Fallen Lord men and their ladies as they make it so damn easy to do so.

Overall it was a sweet read for us with a perfect ending. This series and all the books included in it left us with so many memorable character's and although we have some top favorites like Wrecker and Pipe they were all great and entertaining and each picked and old lady that was perfect for him and Alice she is just one of those old ladies that will never be forgotten for sure.

Fact or fiction?
Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates: The Forgotten War That Changed American History - Brian Kilmeade,Don Yaeger

About 3 pages into Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates by Brian Kilmeade I felt that the author had a real issue with Muslims and he wrote this book to denounce them through a historical lens. As he drew parallels to the Barbary Wars (what's detailed in this book) and present day conflicts, he made the claim that slavery was a unique and barbarous practice only perpetrated by Muslims against whites. (Duh that's not the case.) By the time I had finished the book my overwhelming impression was that this book was not only Islamophobic but a major piece of revisionist history. (I even checked other reader's reviews to make sure that I wasn't completely off the mark here and they back up my feelings pretty much across the board.) He makes a strong argument for a show of military strength over diplomacy. In fact, the Barbary Wars were what precipitated the formation of the Navy and Marines (the 'shores of Tripoli' ring any bells?). I couldn't even tell you if what he says happened really happened when such a large focus was on ideas other than the historical events of the moment. 0/10

And then to discover that this book which was recommended to me by a coworker was in fact written by a co-host of Fox & Friends made total sense after the fact. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Book Review for Enamoured (The Enslaved Duet Book 2) by Giana Darling
Enamoured (The Enslaved Duet Book 2) Kindle Edition - Giana Darling

Wow ! Just Wow! Where to start ? I was on pins and needles the entire time reading this story. Omg ! was this story really good it kept me on edge the entire time I was reading it.The subject matter was dark and intense and the plot engaging and suspenseful and full of twists and turns and emotional pain and was this story and emotional one.I don't know what to say other than that this story drew you right in from the very beginning and kept you there to the very bitter end. This story definitely one that touched on the readers emotions as you felt the pain of these two main characters and their struggles.

Cosima was a character who was beautiful and loving and strong and determined and lost and trying to find her a path in a new life that she created for herself but, one thing she has never been able to conquer is her feelings for her master/husband Alexander and it is only something he can provide for her and her happiness depends on it.

Alexander was one dark and dangerous man but, he was also smart and cunning and Cosmia is the only person who has ever made him feel anything close to being human and he will do everything and anything to protect her and own her body and soul to the bitter end. If I am being honest this man scared that crap out of me.

Overall we loved the story from being to end.The story had amazing characters and there was never a dull moment. The story was very dark and intense and not one for the faint of heart and one for only the open minded because it is very dark and the bdsm to the extreme that is full of pleasure and pain and only one a master and slave will ever understand the depths of emotions and pleasures this kind of relationship brings but, it is one that both parties need to embrace the dark in order to be happy. Cosmia life will be always be controlled by Alexander and his dominate nature and as she is carving out a new life for herself through sheer work determination she needs to make a choice to place herself fully in the hands of the dark and dangerous lord because once she does she will be forever owned and nothing but death with ever separate them again.....

One Enthralling read and Miss Darling is a master storyteller for sure and we have thoroughly enjoyed everything we and read from her so far and this story yet, again an was and amazing read for us !

Book Review for Primal Need by Piper Davenport
Primal Need (Primal Howlers MC Book 2) Kindle Edition - Piper Davenport

First off let us start off my saying that we love the cover and we really loved this current story.

This story was fun and intriguing and had a cast of amazing characters that we could not help but love them all.Once we started reading we were engrossed in the story to the very end and we could not put it down.

Wyatt we loved her from the onset of the story with her quick whit and vibrant personality which was a tell it like it is kind of girl and she was also a sexy and strong character even though she likes to play things safe but, that all changed the minute an arrogant biker decided to woo her.

Sundance Hum....that man was a whole lot of alpha and crude, arrogant and bit of and a-hole but, we have to say falling for a strong independent women had him toning things down and bit and we could help but love the sexy beast of the man ourselves.

The chemistry between these two was totally hot and sexy and the sex scenes definitely fan worthy."Smokin Hot"

I loved the plot and Wyatt and the way she cared for and love her brother aka Teddy Bear who had disabilities and we love how he captured hearts where ever he went.

Overall a really loved this story as it made us laugh out loud the entire story and had a bit of suspense and betrayals and lets not forget it had a awesome cast of characters and that love was found in the most usual of places and it was a love story that was paved with a lot of bumps in the road and a whole lot of groveling .... lol

We have so say that this story had one of my favorite endings. This story was also one that you were still thinking about days later and when it is still on your mind days later that for me just makes this one fantastic read for us !

Book Review for Davan part 1 by Penny Blush
Barber Shop Ink - Davan: Part 1 - Penny Blush

Let's start off by saying this is a brand new author for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our first read by them.

This was story unique I have never read a book like this before so it was a bit refreshing. This story was a bit emotional but, not in a heart wrenching way.Emmaline and what is happening to her it tragic and sad and even though she is dying her life is about living her last days to the fullest and making new friends and love and laughter and seeing to her family before she goes.I found this women to be so strong and brave and loving and we loved her witty sense of humor.

Then you have Davan who was the complete opposite and bit of a bear and controlling and overwhelming and threating and his constant presence is like that but, due to his occupation you understand him better this way and why he is the way he is but, his situation makes him vulnerable and he just hates that and he is an honorable man.

Davan and Pia (nickname) definitely had chemistry and their romance was a bit unconventional but, it made for some really laugh out loud moments and some heartbreaking ones to.We loved the love hate kind of thing going on between the two but, it  really wasn't hate just a whole lot of bad timing and  the situation itself.

We loved the unlikely friendships that formed and you could tell that if things were different it would be a lasting one. Then you had Pia friends who made us laugh time and time again and how Pia's work situation here again made some pretty laugh out loud moment as well.

Overall we really enjoyed the story from cover to cover. The story made us sad but, it was also funny and then you had some some really interesting surprises that arose with its character's that we didn't see coming. We really loved the characters and found them fun and refreshing.Looking forward to part two of the series and the series itself whetted by appetite to go back a read the series from the very beginning.
