Release Day Review! The Trouble With Christmas (Creedence, Colorado #2) Amy Andrews!

More great reading experiences for this week! Today, I am off to Credence, Colorado where an artists convinces her surly landlord to be her "fake rancher boyfriend who just loves everything Christmas"! Enjoy and don't forget to add THE TROUBLE WITH CHRISTMAS by Amy Andrews to your shelves!

All Suzanne St. Michelle wants is an over-the-top, eggnog-induced holiday with her best friend in Credence, Colorado. But when her hoity-toity parents insist she come home for Christmas in New York, she blurts out that her sexy landlord is actually her boyfriend and she can’t leave him—Joshy loves Christmas. The more twinkle lights the better.

Rancher Joshua Grady does not love Christmas. Or company, or chatty women. Unfortunately for him, the chattiest woman ever has rented the cottage on his ranch, invited her rich, art-scene parents, and now insists he play “fake rancher boyfriend” in a production of the Hokiest Christmas Ever. And somehow…she gets him to agree.

Apparently, he’ll do anything to get his quiet life back. At least there’s mistletoe every two feet—and kissing Suzy is surprisingly easy. But in the midst of acres of tinsel, far too many tacky Christmas sweaters, and a tree that can be seen from space, he’s starting to want what he lost when he was a kid—a family. Too bad it’s with a woman heading back to New York before the ball drops…

All she wants in an over-the-top, eggnog-induced holiday with her best friend, but her parents insists she comes home for a boring Christmas in New York, so Suzanne St. Michelle does what any sane rational woman would do, she claims her landlord is really her boyfriend who really loves Christmas. He does not love Christmas or company or chatty women, unfortunately Joshua Grady finds himself agreeing to Suzanne’s charade.

This ‘Credence Colorado’ holiday romance an emotional gripping tale with the most delightful hokiest Christmas ever to tickle the readers' holiday spirit . Although a bit hard to get into at first, the story soon picks up and the strong, captivating characters subtly draw readers into their story and before readers know it, they are hooked. The chemistry between Suzanne and Joshua is quite electrical and leaps off the pages but this relationship is one where the hero fights tooth and nail against opening his heart and letting anyone due to his past and the heroine has her own issues to deal with, so while this couple ‘fits’, the relationship is full of sparks, clashes and emotional turmoil that keeps things quite interesting.

The plot of the story happens at a steady pace and is quite suspenseful as readers wonder how this unlikely couple will manage to pull this elaborate charade. This results in lots of chuckles and fun, especially as the couple go to some pretty cut throat negotiations to get through this holiday and readers just have to turn the pages to find just what will happen next as it spreads some holiday cheer the readers' way.

Re-released in a second edition with new content. The town of Bliss, Colorado, offered Hope McLean a second chance at life, a gift she cherishes every day. Her past was dominated by dark secrets and regret, most of which centered on a man named Christian Grady. All of that was behind her now, years of horror distilled down into the occasional nightmare or a random feeling of being watched. Surrounded by new friends, she tried hard to leave the past where it belonged—in the rearview mirror. Raised together, James Glen and Noah Bennett were the best of friends. They dreamed of growing up in Bliss, finding love, and settling down to share their lives on the Circle G ranch. James would manage the day-to-day operations of the ranch while Noah served the town as the resident veterinarian. Everything was perfectly planned out, until a woman came between them and their future shattered. Noah left Bliss for New York City and James was left to struggle to keep the Circle G alive on his own. Noah returns to Bliss on a mission to rebuild his life. When he sees Hope, he knows his return home was meant to be. Hope’s kindness shines like a beacon calling him to her. Unfortunately, he isn’t the only man interested in Hope. James is also interested in the beautiful girl with a mysterious past. He can’t be forced to choose between the woman of his dreams and his best friend again. As romance begins to bloom, a dark specter from Hope’s past returns to claim her. To save Hope, and themselves, James and Noah will have to rebuild the relationship they lost and fight for their future with Hope together.

We really are enjoying this series as it is filled with amazing characters and of course they fill the town of Bliss with their own brand of  men and women.

The story started out by drawing you into a plot of treachery and pain and suffering and loss.We loved the little town that was full of these eclectic people but, one thing is for sure that are just one big extended family full of oddities.

James has been living a half of life since his brother walked out of his life and that of his families.James coping mechanism has been countless women and loneliness. On the brighter side of things he wants the one girl he knows he needs to filled the void missing from his life but, is afraid of laying claim to her because his heart is broken due to his brother betrayal of leaving him over a gold digging conniving women who knew to play on ones emotional conflicts.

I found James to be all alpha and brash and sexy as sin and also someone who does not trust easily and one who runs from any kind of intimacy.

I found Hope to be sweet and kind and loving and wallowing in self pity but, also has taken responsible for the mess she has made of her life and is striving to change that. Our heart went out to Hope for the things she endure and the betrayals she experience and the constant fear she lived in because of her past .

Noah I found to be a little bit cocky had a sense of humor and was sexy as sin but, also is a changed man from the man he had been when living in Bliss in the past he now has darkness within him now.

We love the romance that developed between these two estranged brothers and one women perfect for them and the only one who will be able to mend the riff between the two as well as mend the heart for all parties involved.

We loved the plot the drama and the love triangles as well as the poly relationships with the bdsm elements. We loved the characters and their unique relationships but whats more we love the alpha men and their over bearing possessiveness and protective instincts .We loved that this town came together to protect someone in need and that was in trouble both the men and the women and proved they always have each others backs.

Overall we loved the story from beginning to end as the drama unfolded and the character's kept us enmeshed in the story and turning the pages. The story was about healing and forgiveness and right the wrongs of the past but, most of all finding the love of your life and the one women to make you whole once again and hopefully achieving your happily ever after.

THE LONG ROAD HOME: BRODY by Jan Scarbrough
Brody: The Montana McKennas (Montana Ran... Brody: The Montana McKennas (Montana Ranchers Book 2) (Volume 2) - Jan Scarbrough

Rodeo star Brody comes home after 10 years on the road.  Stephanie is still there though he never saw the daughter she bore.  When they meet again, attraction and anger, hurt and hope are all there.  As Brody realizes what he missed he wants it all now.  Stephanie is more cautious.

I liked Stephanie.  I could understand her feelings.  Brody needs a good swift kick in the behind.  As his mother told Stephanie, he was let off too easy 10 years earlier.  I liked the story.  I liked Livy, their daughter.  She is a bundle of energy just like most 10 year olds.  Lori Ann, Brody's ex-girlfriend, was a pain where the sun don't shine.

The story was a little short so everything was speeded up.  I would have liked a longer story as it would have fleshed out a little more of their reunion but I enjoyed the story and the writing was well done.

A Montana Christmas Reunion (Snowy Owl Ranchers)
A Montana Christmas Reunion (Snowy Owl R... A Montana Christmas Reunion (Snowy Owl Ranchers) - Roz Denny Fox 2.5 stars

This just did not work for me. I thought the romance was flat, there was no chemistry between the protagonists, and there was too much telling and not enough showing.
